Coloriages mystères - Pokémon Page 42

Just Piplup happily living its best underwater life... absolutely love how this one turned out!

Colouring Notes

  • Completed entirely using my Nicety markers, matching the colours as closely as I could to the original swatches recommended by the book.

  • Some of the smaller details around the larger bubbles were surprisingly tricky, particularly trying to stay within the lines without losing the little details.

  • Getting the right shade for the shadow across Piplup's face took a bit of work, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

  • Used Gesso again to prepare the page before colouring, and decided to add a few extra bubbles to the background. Not convinced they really added much to the finished page, but I enjoyed putting a little bit of my own touch on it!

Favourite Part

Definitely the underwater background. It's fairly simple compared to some of the other Pokémon pages I've completed, but I think it sets the scene perfectly and really helps Piplup stand out. The extra bubbles probably didn't make a huge difference, but sometimes it's nice to add something of your own rather than following the book exactly. Really happy with how this one turned out!

Pokémon Tome 2: What I'm Hoping to See

I've spent plenty of hours with the first Pokémon book, so there was never much chance I'd ignore a second one. Tome 2 is on its way, and there are still plenty of surprises waiting inside.
